YOKI Flaked Cassava Flour (Biju Flour), 500g
Flaked cassava flour or biju flour is made from wet cassava flour that has been rolled into flakes before drying or roasting. This is a flour with a unique texture that is commonly used as a side dish to feijoada and barbecues.
It is ideal for preparing „tutu de feijão" (bean stew), farofas, pirão, cakes, breads and even as a substitute for breadcrumbs in breaded dishes. Its flaky texture adds a special crunch to dishes, making them even tastier. It can also be used as a thickener in sauces and soups, guaranteeing a creamy and delicious result.

YOKI was established in Brazil in the 1980s by Yoshizo Kitano, a japanese entrepreneur and immigrant who aimed to bring more convenience to people's lives offering easy, affordable and high-quality products. He has changed the food market over the years by exchanging flours and grains that were sold in bulk for packed products. Furthermore, he introduced microwave popcorn to Brazil and created the first ready-to-eat „farofa“.
The name YOKI has two meanings: it stands for the first two letters of the name and surname of its founder, Yoshizo Kitano (YO - KI). In Japanese it means happiness, achievements, well-being and prosperity.
