Cheese rolls made from cassava flour (Polvilho) are popular throughout Brazil. These are available in almost every corner (bakery, snack bar, bistros) and are not only eaten for breakfast.
The cheese roll is a typical Brazilian preparation. The basic ingredients are cassava starch, eggs and cheese. The main characteristics of this product are the crispness of the crust and the softness of the dough, it also has a very pleasant cheese and cassava taste.

- Kühl und trocken lagern. Durchschnittliche Nährwerte pro 100 g (fertiges Produkt gemäß Zubereitungsanleitung)
- Preparation note:
- Zubereitung: 1 - Fügen Sie den Inhalt des Beutels in eine mittelgroße Schüssel, dazu Wasser (1/2 Tasse oder 100ml) und 2 Eier. 2 - Verrühren Sie die Zutaten bis die Flüssigkeit aufgenommen wurde und kneten Sie weiter bis eine glatte homogene Masse entstanden ist. 3 - Formen Sie kleine Bälle und legen Sie diese mit etwas Abstand auf ein Backblech, damit sie beim Aufgehen nicht verkleben. 4 - Stellen Sie das Backblech in den vorgeheizten Backofen (180°C) für ca. 25 Minuten oder bis die Käsebrötchen goldbraun sind.

YOKI was established in Brazil in the 1980s by Yoshizo Kitano, a japanese entrepreneur and immigrant who aimed to bring more convenience to people's lives offering easy, affordable and high-quality products. He has changed the food market over the years by exchanging flours and grains that were sold in bulk for packed products. Furthermore, he introduced microwave popcorn to Brazil and created the first ready-to-eat „farofa“.
The name YOKI has two meanings: it stands for the first two letters of the name and surname of its founder, Yoshizo Kitano (YO - KI). In Japanese it means happiness, achievements, well-being and prosperity.
