An exceptional rum is a combination of first-class ingredients, a careful manufacturing process and the skills of an experienced and passionate master blender. That s exactly what Deadhead 10th Anniversary is all about.
This single cask rum comes from "Rones de Mexico", a family-owned artisanal distillery. The multi-award-winning rum distillery has been producing handcrafted, impressive rums for three generations. Tradition and experience are the foundation of Deadhead.
The exquisite spirit is distilled in a limited edition from sugar cane juice in pot stills and molasses in column stills, with no added sugar, flavor or color. Then Deadhead rests in selected oak barrels for 10 years. After filling, each bottle is hand-numbered and personally signed by the master blender.
The elegant 40% spirit has a whiskey-like nose with notes of vanilla, stone fruit and maple syrup. On the palate, Deadhead is rich, intense and full-bodied, with brown sugar in the foreground, followed by notes of tobacco and sassafras. Toasted pecans and grains add structural complexity. The finish is strong and semi-dry with oak, vanilla and leather.
