1884 eröffnete die Rumfabrik als "Fabrica de San Pedro". Von Anfang an erfolgreich war sie der offizelle Lieferant
des spanichen Königshaus. In den 20er Jahren wurde die Rumfabrik geschloßen.
Es wurde alles verkauft mit Ausnahme der Destillerie, welche 1940 wieder eröffnete.
Ihren heutigen Namen erhielt die Rumfabrik 1965.
